Peppered Beef Strips And Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 pound sirloin steak cut into strips
  • 1/3 cup dry red wine
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 bunches green onions cut in 2“ pieces

Instructions

  1. Sauté garlic and ginger in large oiled skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add rice and beef stock then bring to a boil and reduce heat.
  3. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile marinate beef strips in red wine, black pepper, soy sauce and cornstarch 15 minutes.
  5. Reserving marinade remove beef from liquid and stir fry with green onions in skillet 3 minutes.
  6. Add reserved marinade and bring to a boil then stir.
  7. Add beef and onion mixture to rice then gently combine.
