Beef - stir fried beef and peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean beef cut in paper thin strips
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 2 medium Onions quartered
  • 2 small green peppers cut in squares or strips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • cooked rice

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine meat strips with soy sauce, lemon juice, cornstarch, sugar and ginger. Let stand whle preparing vegetables
  2. 2. Heat salad oil in large frying pan. Stir fry onions, green peppers and salt until vegetables are tender crisp (about 5 minutes)
  3. 3. Lift vegetables from the fat and reserve
  4. 4. Stir-fry meat mixture in the hot oil until it loses it’s pink color (a minute or two). Add vegetables and stir until hot.
  5. Serve with cooked rice
