Sauce Picante

Ingredients

  • 2 packets microwave roux
  • Bell peppers
  • Onions
  • Celery
  • 2 large cans Tomato sauce
  • 1 small can Tomato sauce
  • 2 cans rotel tomatoes
  • 1 can Tomatoes food processed very fine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • red pepper or tabasco to taste
  • garlic or garlic salt to taste, probably garlic powder instead
  • peeled shrimp raw
  • crab fingers
  • Rice

Instructions

  1. Make lots of thick roux then add bell peppers, onion, celery put lid on and steam. I now use the microwave roux for this and I make 2 recipes.
  2. Add 2 large cans and 1 small can of tomato sauce and 2 cans rotel tomatoes and 1 can tomatoes (I process tomatoes to chopped up very fine) season - salt pepper, red pepper or tabasco, and garlic or garlic salt. Cook for about 1 hour (don’t ______) and then add raw peeled shrimp and crab fingers and cook till done about 15 minutes. Serve over rice.
