Sauce Picante
Ingredients
- 2 packets microwave roux
- Bell peppers
- Onions
- Celery
- 2 large cans Tomato sauce
- 1 small can Tomato sauce
- 2 cans rotel tomatoes
- 1 can Tomatoes food processed very fine
- Salt and pepper to taste
- red pepper or tabasco to taste
- garlic or garlic salt to taste, probably garlic powder instead
- peeled shrimp raw
- crab fingers
- Rice
Instructions
- Make lots of thick roux then add bell peppers, onion, celery put lid on and steam. I now use the microwave roux for this and I make 2 recipes.
- Add 2 large cans and 1 small can of tomato sauce and 2 cans rotel tomatoes and 1 can tomatoes (I process tomatoes to chopped up very fine) season - salt pepper, red pepper or tabasco, and garlic or garlic salt. Cook for about 1 hour (don’t ______) and then add raw peeled shrimp and crab fingers and cook till done about 15 minutes. Serve over rice.
